AboutUs

I founded my own business in October of 2013, after realizing my vision was to create a beautiful, calm, and serene studio, where people enjoyed coming to. My singular focus is to give back to the community the Method of Pilates as it was intended so long ago. My ultimate passion is in teaching, and I know you will find out first-hand that my number one priority will always be YOU, and meeting each and every individual need!

My journey towards Pilates started at a young age. I grew up as a classically trained ballerina who studied with prestigious schools such as Houston Ballet Academy, School of American Ballet, the Chautauqua Institute, and the world renowned Juilliard School. Pilates was the best form of body conditioning for a dancer to use, as it provided them with a wide range of tools to help them become more aware of their alignment and protect them against injury.

I started studying Pilates as a dancer, and knew the moment I performed "footwork" on the Reformer, I was destined to become an instructor. The way it made my body feel was unlike anything I had ever discovered. I initially started my training in St. Petersburg, Florida with fellow classical instructor Linda McNamar, who then referred me to New York City to continue my training. It was there, in 2002, that I finished the rigorous 600+ hour certification to become a 2nd Generation Pilates Instructor under the eye of Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates's protégé. Through Romana's passion for life and endless dedication to the work, I was able to see what an immeasurable gift to the world Pilates was.

I married my husband in February of 2016, and we welcomed our beautiful daughter Eleanor "Ellie" in September of 2018. When I'm not in the studio teaching, you can find me working on my cooking skills, enjoying time with my family, and being a Mommy!

Nicole first began her journey as an athlete and lifelong lover of movement when she was a child, by devoting her time to classical ballet and modern dance. A Florida native, she attended the Pinellas County Center for the Arts High School, and continued to study professionally at Boston Conservatory on dance merit-based scholarships. It was there that she first began taking accredited Pilates, anatomy, and kinesiology courses.

After getting her Bachelor of Fine Arts, she moved to New York City, where she began dancing professionally with multiple companies. During her career, she toured nationally and internationally, traveling to such locations as Germany, France, Italy and England to perform as a member of renowned companies like Elisa Monte Dance. Throughout her performance career, Pilates had been interwoven in her training and craft. In 2009, Nicole became Power Pilates certified, furthering her advocacy of the practice.

After a decade in New York City, she moved back home to Clearwater, in 2014, and continued to teach dance and Pilates. Finding a love for the whole Pilates system, she became Balanced Body Comprehensively Certified to teach all Pilates equipment, including the reformer, Cadillac, chair and barrel. She learned how better to stretch and strengthen in the rehabilitation of injuries, alleviate back pain, and help clients work to create healthier and more confident versions of themselves.Through her passion, training, and experience, she has been changing and helping bodies ever since.

"I've worked one-on-one with them for the past couple of years. They are outstanding instructors that combine the right amount of challenge, professionalism, encouragement, and knowledge of Pilates and CoreAlign®. They are very sensitive to vulnerable areas (my neck) by tailoring positions to strengthen and protect. I attribute a much stronger and flexible "me" to working with Crossman Pilates, and I highly recommend their services."
